Smart screen printing by PERRIER

Nestlé Waters Marketing & Distribution has chosen Saint-Gobain to produce its new PERRIER Water bottle.

Nestlé Waters Marketing & Distribution has launched its new PERRIER Water in a refined and elongated blue glass bottle, produced by Saint-Gobain Packaging. Designed for sale in Cafes, Hotels and Restaurants, this bottle is the result of marketing, commercial and manufacturing synergies generated between three Saint-Gobain Packaging companies: VOA (Albi glassworks) which produces the containers, SAGA Decor for the decorative screen printing and Saint-Gobain Emballage for the project coordination.

Form and colour - combining purity and elegance

The new PERRIER water bottle, available in 500 ml and 1 litre sizes, is distinguished by its elegance and pure lines, emphasised by the choice of glass as a material, with all its connotations of nobility and modernity.

The container stands out for its light blue tint, obtained using VOA's exclusive light coloration technique. This process consists of introducing colouring frits directly into the glass feeder channel. In France, this is the first time that a water bottle has been produced in blue glass except as part of an event-led operation.

Original decoration

The brand's visual identity is represented by screen-printing on the upper part of the bottle. This achievement demonstrates SAGA Decor's technical capacities by faithfully reproducing the brand logo on a steeply conical surface. This decoration using enamelled screen printing, another first for a mineral water bottle not included in a special operation, brings a touch of originality to the new PERRIER Water. Finally, this decoration's resistance to washing makes it possible to avoid the problems associated with labels which plague the returnable container system used by the CHR distribution channel.
